SAT / PSAT Instructor

Ms. Mann graduated from Harvard with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. She later earned her MBA from the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management in Claremont. She has served on the editorial board of a magazine in Tokyo. Ms. Mann has been a tutor in Poetry, PSAT, and SAT since college.

SAT / PSAT / ACT Instructor

Mr. Molina received his B.A. from Yale University. He worked for several years as an administrator in the Department of Orthopaedics at the USC Health Sciences Campus. He has always enjoyed tutoring students and helping them understand new concepts since tutoring classmates in high school. He enjoys interviewing college applicants for the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Math, AP Math

Mr. Quesada graduated from the University of Arizona, majoring in Electrical Engineering. He has taught SAT for seven years and is familiar with the teaching materials in all the local school districts. Most of his students are at an advanced level in school. He delights in helping a student earn an "A" in school or an 800 on the SAT.

English, Math

Mr. Wang graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During his studies, he spent a year studying British history and literature in London. Mr. Wang joined Premier Academy this past year. He enjoys his work immensely and his passion and energy for teaching students is evident in the classroom.

Mr. Martinez holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. He has been working for the LAUSD for the past four years. He has directed and taught his school's mathematics team for the annual LAUSD Math Field Day for the past three years and is trained in the Open Court Reading program.

Mr. Tang has taught at Premier Academy for four years. He studied at UC-Irvine with a strong background in math, computers, and history. He enjoys helping students develop an understanding of the world and current events. He emphasizes courtesy and manners while pushing his students farther to find and use the best of their abilities.

English, Math, AP Biology

Ms. Ho has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from UC-San Diego. She chose her major because as a child she always had scientific questions like "what allows us to breath?" It turns out that she loves Biology. She loves to help others and believes that people can benefit the world by doing the littlest things.

Ms. Pan received her bachelor's degree from Tong Hai University in 2004. She took courses in child education and attended workshops on teaching Chinese as a second language while at Tong Hai. She then worked for three years teaching English to children in Taiwan. During that period, she created different activities to improve student interest in learning. During her work experience, she developed a strong interest in the field of child education. She not only likes helping children learn, but also enjoys learning from them.

SAT / PSAT Instructor

Mr. Waggoner has a strong background in English. He graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in English and has taught English in some capacity for the better part of nine years. Currently, he is teaching the Reading Comprehension and Writing portions of the SAT, sections of the SAT that he has been teaching for five years. His dream is to be a writer.

SAT / PSAT Instructor

Mr. Alvarez has been a private tutor for eight years, specializing in English school, Harold has amassed a wealth of experience in the areas of grammar, vocabulary, composition, and reading. He obtained a degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University.

English / Math / AP History

Ms. Crane attended the University of California, Riverside where she was a double major in political science and ethnic studies. She received her first master's degree in education from Pepperdine University and received her second master's degree from the University of Southern California in international public policy and management. Ms.Crane has had the opportunity to teach students from grades K-12 to the college level. She currently teaches English and Algebra at Premier Academy and English at a private college. In her spare time she enjoys cooking brownies, laughing, visiting her parents, and being around inspiring young scholarly people.

Math

Ms. Chang has been teaching math for over ten years. She is very experienced and specialized in algebra and geometry. She has been helping many students get into advanced classes and perform well in them. Ms. Chang's focus on each student's individual strengths and weaknesses encourages them to achieve maximum understanding. Students become very interested and motivated in their math studies.

English / Math

Ms. Vasquez has been involved in working with children and adolescents for strong emphasis in math and English education. She enjoys helping students develop a better understanding in grammar, reading comprehension, and math. She hopes to see her students become good leaders of this country.

Math / MPM / IQ Chinese / SAT II Chinese

Ms. Su graduated from Cal Poly Pomona University with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and a math teaching credential degree. She is now learning her English as a Second Language Certificate at Cal State Long Beach. Being a good teacher is her entire goal. She always cares about her students a lot and loves to help students not only develop an understanding of new concepts, but also enjoys having fun in her classroom.
